Become a Beta Tester

The time has come for the RadeonHD driver to be tested by a wider group of people. If you are interested in becoming a beta tester for the RadeonHD Picasso96 driver, please register your interest using the form below.  Beta testers must have Amiga OS 4.x (preferably Amiga OS 4.1), and the right hardware, i.e., a Radeon X1000 series or Radeon HD series PCI card.

One note for Pegasos II users; a brief test with a Pegasos II suggests that its OpenFirmware does not even detect the graphics card. It appears as though the firmware detects the on-board PCI-to-PCI-Express bridge, but does not scan for PCI devices on the other side of the bridge. If this is true then the Pegasos II will not be able to use the graphics card until the firmware has been fixed. None of the other Amiga OS 4.x capable motherboards have this problem (it has not been tested on a classic Amiga). At this stage this is unconfirmed, but anyone considering purchasing a card specifically for a Pegasos II should take into account that the card itself is simply not detected.

People who are interested in buying a compatible card can find links to shops on this page.

Important: Only apply if you have the right hardware. If you are buying a card, wait until you have the card before submitting your request; this page will not be disappearing any time soon.

SAM 440 ep users: The SAM 440ep currently will not boot with a Radeon HD 2400 card plugged in. Hopefully this issue will be solved, but I want buyers to be aware of the issue.
