Hi everyone,
RadeonHD version 0.6 can be found at http://hdrlab.org.nz/assets/secure/RadeonHD/RadeonHD-0.6.lha
with the debug version at:
http://hdrlab.org.nz/assets/secure/RadeonHD/RadeonHD-0.6-debug.lha
Changes in this release:
- Fixed the Workbench "lasso" rendering bug for R5xx chipsets
- Fixed an obscure rendering bug for R5xx chipsets that caused graphics corruption under certain circumstances
- Fixed the mouse pointer colour bug for R6xx chipsets
- Enabled coherent signalling mode for DVI. Hopefully this will fix the DVI display problems that people are having
- Rewrote the Colour setting code for 256 colour mode to perform fewer register writes
I'm still not sure why the boot picture is corrupt with R6xx chips (is everyone experiencing this?), but I've added some more debug output to the colour setting code. The lockup/crash that Raziel is experiencing also occurs in this function, but I need more information before I can figure out why.

Lha (CLI) reports your archives are corrupted and Unarc can't recognize them.

@TSK
I just tried downloading them myself, and they opened fine.

@TSK
You are downloading with OWB then(?)
OWB seems to implement a version of wget to download files. Unfortunately wget seems to not be able to download from secure sites and thus corrupts all files.
I had the same problem and already filed a bug report for joerg
@Hans
I tried with 0.6 but (as you said) the crash/lockup is still there
Could you shout if you nailed it, please and i will go testing from there?
Thank you

@Raziel
Please send me another crash log with the latest driver. I can't track down the bug without more information and testing. I don't have the same hardware so I'm not going to know if I've fixed it if you don't test new versions and send me the logs.
Your previous crash log indicates that the crash occurred during setting up the colour Look Up Table (LUT) for the boot screen. Unfortunately this happens after it's executed the very same code 10-20 times, with a strange crash. Someone else has a lockup with an HD 2400 pro and a SAM 440 flex which occurs shortly after the resolution is set. This may or may not be related.

Yes.

I will send you a "normal" log when i get back home and will try to log a crash (althought it was very much pure luck the first time)
Bomb me with beta versions if you want ;-)
EDIT: No Crash but a "normal" log. Stops at the pointer init(?) again...
...and, as it seems, there IS a problem in the LUT...at least there are some strange overwritten values there

@TSK
OWB's downloading is currently faked using WGet (as far as I can see), which cannot download the file because it's not logged in. Until this is fixed, you'll have to use IBrowse for those files. The website will look ugly in IBrowse, but it should be usable. I've been meaning to check if http://bugs.os4depot.net/ has this problem listed. I'll do that right now.
EDIT: Raziel already posted the OWB downloading bug.
@Raziel
Thanks. This time it looks like it's freezing at a different place this time, but still shortly after the screen resolution is set to 800x600, and the screen is enabled.
